How does MyAirShield™ work? 

The MyAirShield™ device emits a protective vapor that will encompass your immediate breathing space. When viruses, bacteria, staph, mold, fungus or spores come in contact with this vapor it will penetrate, oxidize and kill the pathogen.
Fortunately, the vapor is too small and in too low a concentration to impact human cells. The human body converts this vapor to ions which are in turn used for everyday physiological processes so there is no way for this vapor to build up in the body.
As you can imagine the size of the protective barrier around you will be impacted by factors such as wind. If you are outside on a windy day the vapors from the shield may blow away as quickly as they are generated. Fortunately, in this scenario, the wind would also make it unlikely that you would be exposed to a virus as well. In a non-windy environment, the vapor will quickly release, build and provide the desired protection.

Is the shield safe for everyone? 

Yes, everyone can use this device safely. It works perfectly in harmony with our bodies. Science knows a lot about the human immune system and therefore we have some specific recommendations about optimal use for children under 5. See that section below.

When should the device be worn? 

Wear it at all times where exposure is risk is elevated. This includes while at work, shopping, dining, church and public events where exposure risk is the greatest. Additionally, any situation where you are caring for a loved one with a contagious condition.

How long will the device provide protection? 

90 days from the date of opening the original packaging of the protective pouch.

Against what pathogens has MyAirShield™ been tested? 

MyAirShield™ has been thoroughly tested against the known major pathogen types of concern active in recent times. While more testing is underway, MyAirShield™ has proven successful against 100% of the pathogens that have been tested to date. Testing includes the following pathogens:

Are the Chlorine Dioxide vapors released from the shield safe? 

Yes, Chlorine Dioxide is safe when used appropriately. It has been a vital resource in several industries including the medical field, food & drinking water space for decades and is well understood. There is nothing new about Chlorine dioxide. It is well understood. The MyAirShield™ device emits vapors at an average rate of 1/100 of what is considered safe by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Are there any circumstances when the Shield might not be as efficient in providing protection? 

As with anything, it is useful to understand how to use and get the most out of this tool. For example, if you are the only person wearing the device in a large room and you are briskly walking through a crowded area and someone with a contagious condition coughs directly in your face as you are walking, the vapors from the device may not have had enough time to surround you and kill any pathogens before you inhale them.

If, however, there are others in the room wearing the device as well, there is strength in numbers! This is because the air you will be encountering as you walk around the room will already have the beneficial vapors present from the other devices present. This means there will be no delay time for your device to sanitize the new air directly in your breathing space. We do recommend caution when walking through such environments but, in truth, a virus is rarely exchanged in this way (passing through areas briskly). Usually, exposure occurs while sitting on an airplane, in a restaurant, at an event, concert or being in direct contact with a contagious person for more than just a passing second. The MyAirShield™ protection will work very well in those conditions where the vapors will quickly encompass your area and protect you.

Under what circumstances might the device become unable to perform its protection function? 

The device may not provide sufficient protection if:
● It becomes wet. Once fully dried it will function normally.
● It gets coated in fumes such as perfume or spray paint.
● It is used past its expiration date which is 90 days after first opening the original packaging of the protective pouch.

Are there long-term health risks associated with using this device? 

No, there are no health risks. The vapors are released at such low levels they have no impact on human cells and will not build up in your body over time. Your body is naturally able to convert the low levels of Chlorine Dioxide to ions which are used by the body in its normal processes. MyAirShield™ is perfectly compatible with the human body.

What testing has occurred to prove it works? 

Extensive testing has occurred concerning:

● The amount of the vapor that is released to ensure it stays well below the safe limit outlined by the Center for Disease Control (CDC)

● The actual release of a safe level of vapor to eliminate pathogens.

● To ensure that it kills viruses and bacteria effectively.

Why is there so much negative or inaccurate information about Chlorine Dioxide on the internet? 

Chlorine Dioxide, like any substance, including water and vitamins, can be harmful if used incorrectly. Most of the controversial information about Chlorine Dioxide was for cases where the substance was used internally (ingested). Our product is not for internal use. It is a very different and very safe application of this long understood tool. The beauty of this product is the patented slow-release technology. This technology makes it impossible to breathe in too much Chlorine Dioxide. In fact, it keeps the vapors at 20 times less than the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) says is safe for humans. Negative information you may come across on the internet is related to other types of applications that have no relation to how the product is used in the MyAirShield™ application.

What should I do with MyAirShield™ when I get home?

Remove your MyAirShield™ from your body and place it in a zip lock bag or sealed container. Doing so will maximize the useful life of MyAirShield™ and ensure it is ready for you for the next time you go out into the public domain.

Can other members of my family use my MyAirShield™? 

We recommend that each member of a household have their own MyAirShield™ when going out in public. One MyAirShield™ will only protect the person who is wearing the product.

What other uses of CLO2 (Chlorine Dioxide) are commonly used in the consumer environment? 

There are countless applications and ways that Chlorine Dioxide is being used in the commercial and medical industries including water purification, food and vegetable sanitization, wood pulp processing and sterilization of medical equipment.

What is the price per unit of this product? 

The suggested MSRP is $49.95 per unit and each unit will provide 90 days of protection.

Where/when can I find this product? 

With testing now complete, this product is ready for distribution. It is currently only available through distributors but will become available through all major retailers and online providers soon. Ask your favorite retailers to contact for information and pricing.

Is Chlorine Dioxide Toxic? 

Anything can become toxic when used in ways that are not appropriate for a given application and Chlorine Dioxide is no exception. However, in this application, with our patented, controlled, slow-release technology, Chlorine Dioxide is non-toxic and will not build up in the human body. Our product has been thoroughly tested to ensure its safety.

Is MyAirShield™ safe in a classroom, airplane or restaurant environment where many people may be using the shield at once? 

Yes, thorough “concentration” studies have been conducted and determined that, in all these situations, the level of Chlorine Dioxide vapors remains far below what the EPA says is safe for humans. 

Is the MyAirShield™ product patented? 

Yes, there are US and International Patents issued or pending.

Special note for Children Under the age of 5: 

Parents often believe that the environment their children live in should be as clean and germ-free as possible. However, for a child’s immune system to develop, it needs to be exposed to germs. When a child is in the womb, it is protected by its mother’s immune system. When children are born, they have to develop their own immune systems. An important part of this developmental process is accomplished through, you guessed it, exposure to germs. Exposure to germs educates a child's immune system to recognize beneficial bacteria from harmful bacteria. Research has shown that children who are raised in a very clean, germ-free environment are actually more likely to develop hay fever, asthma and allergies; this is commonly referred to as the ‘hygiene hypothesis.

Given this, we think it is important that small children whose immune systems are still developing get their fair share of exposure to common colds and bacteria. If, for example, they wear the MyAirShield™ 24/7, they might not get the exposure they need to the germs to receive the best education for their immune system. So, for small children, we recommend using only when in higher-risk exposure situations.
